damage excess waiver
yet another way of ensuring you have no nasty surprises, for just $4.00 per day, holiday autos damage excess refund offers you reimbursement for any excess paid as a result of accidental damages whilst renting your car. damage excess waiver must be purchased at the time of booking and reclaimed through holiday autos. terms and conditions are:
  • On all bookings you will be required to leave a deposit to the value of any CDW excess you may be required to pay if the vehicle is damaged during the period of hire. If the vehicle is damaged, the deposit will be retained and treated as payment of the excess. If, however, you have purchased our DEW product, your liability to pay the excess will be waived and you may reclaim it, subject to our terms and conditions, by filling in an accident report form (supplied by our car rental partner) and sending a copy of it to holiday autos. Your liability to pay for damage to the vehicle will therefore be limited to the cost of the daily rate you pay for CDW and DEW.
  • DEW is not available in relation to prestige cars.
  • DEW (and CDW) do not apply in relation to damage to windows/windscreens, wheels and tyres, the underside and the roof, the interior of the car, towing charges or where the vehicle is driven off-road or on un-tarmacked roads, without due care and attention, negligently or where the driver is under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. Your liability to pay the cost of the damage will therefore not be waived in these circumstances and you may be liable for the full cost.
  • In the event that keys are lost or damaged, you will be liable for the reasonable costs of obtaining a replacement, and further costs if directly related to the theft of the car.
  • DEW does not apply when taking four-wheel drive vehicles "off road" or on un-tarmacked roads. Your liability to pay the CDW excess will therefore not be waived in these circumstances and you may be liable for the full excess.
How to claim:
In order to make a claim under our Damage Excess Waiver product (DEW) it would help us if you were able to forward copies of your rental agreement, any credit card statements relating to charges as well as any accident or damage reports, should these be relevant. Please note that all Holiday Autos systems use our booking reference as our prime form of identification. It would be helpful and save time if you could ensure that this reference number and the surname of the lead driver are clearly visible on all documents sent to us. All of this needs to be faxed to us on 04 341 5731.
Offset Your Carbon Emissions
What is offsetting
When you fly, drive and heat your home, your carbon dioxide (C02) emissions cause climate change. Climate change is the most serious threat facing the planet. Offsetting enables you to repair the damage done by your emissions by funding sustainable energy projects that reduce C02. You can offset easily with holiday autos.ae every time you book a car hire. Next time you book your car hire click 'yes' to offset.

Why offset?
On average a normal family car emits 3 tonnes of COS every 10,000 miles. Every 10 day car rental is the equivalent of:
  • Leaving the hairdryer on for one month, or
  • Boiling the kettle non-stop for four weeks, or
  • Running the TV & games console for one year, or
  • Leaving the TV on standby for 35 years, or
  • Leaving all the lights on at home for three months
Multiply that by hundreds of people who rented in the same location as you today... then all the locations around of all the cities in every country around the world, every week, every day, every hour, every minute... you get the picture! That's a lot of C02 pouring into our atmosphere.

Where does the money go?
100% of your money goes to Climate Care, an organisation dedicated to reducing global warming. They fund projects that cut greenhouse gas emissions in developing countries, benefiting local communities.

How much does it cost to offset?
Every time you book a car hire you can contribute an extra $1.50. This will replace the carbon emissions equivalent to driving 500km in a regular sized car. These calculations are made using the carbon offsetting calculation tools available through climatecare.org

Be carbonwise - offset every time you drive.
general restrictions
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure accuracy and availability, some errors might still occur. We reserve the right to cancel the booking and refund all monies paid, or if applicable, you have the choice to pay any additional increase in price, should there be one.
